Thomas got his very own golf glove last week. He claims this new "technique" has really helped him hit better. And he loves it so much, he slept in it the first night.
It was the inside of my golf glove. :-) The last time I played golf, I noticed the cool patterns the ventilation holes make inside when the sun shines through them and thought that would be a great picture if I could capture it. It was fun. Thanks for playing!
Field Day was a blast. Isn't it always? It was one of my favorite days as a kid and as a teacher. Thomas had a lot of fun. Enjoy these pics of his two best events. He kicked the ball further than anyone in the class and threw the ball further than anyone in his class. Running? Not so much his best event. He did at least beat one girl. :-)
Jonathan and I had fun watching and cheering at Thomas' field day. The parachute was last activity and Jonathan got to participate. Do you think he had fun? :-)
Here he is with both sets of grandparents. David parents, Dale and Wanda, on the left, and my parents, Gary and Jeanette, on the right. Pretty lucky kid.
Thomas made it through Kindergarten! Although I'm not really a big fan of graduation ceremonies for Kindergarten, in this case it seemed appropriate. He IS leaving that school (sob!) and moving into a big kid school. Here he is with his two wonderful teachers: Mrs. Luningham on the left and Mrs. Haschke on the right.
Since you drive about 10mph at Fossil Rim, Thomas got to enjoy riding with his head up through the moonroof. He was squealing so much about it, his cool grandpa decided to join him.
It's been several weeks since we went to Fossil Rim but Jonathan is STILL telling the story of this zebra coming in my window (loved it!) and then coming in his and Granny's window (hated it and cried!). And since Lisa likes her zebras black and white instead of brown and white, I converted it so you'll never know that it was really the other color.
I loved this shot of the three guys looking out the window at the animals. I know that's half the fun for my boys...not having to be buckled in your car seat!
Ok, ok, Thomas isn't in focus here but I had to post it anyway. Didn't they pose nicely together? Not a bad shot considering I was sitting in the passenger seat, holding the camera out the window to shoot Thomas who was feeding the giraffes from the moon roof.
We went to Fossil Rim on Mother's Day. It was a lot of fun. Both boys loved feeding the animals. To be more specific, Jonathan liked them as long as he could throw them the food. If any of them came too close, that was another story altogether.
The inning Thomas played pitcher, his friend Dayton played catcher. They had a lot of close calls and almost got a lot of runners out, but in this series, they DID.
Thomas got to play pitcher one inning today in his t-ball game and did really well. He was so proud of himself. After the game, he told me that he was the best pitcher on the whole team. Not sure I'd go that far, but he did do incredibly well...especially since he'd never played that position in a game before. In this shot, he'd just fielded the ball and was about to throw it home to stop a runner from third.
On the way home from the park, Jonathan wanted to wear some headphones like Thomas. He didn't exactly put them on the right way but was too tired to fix them himself.
