Twofer

Trying to photograph one cool animal when I noticed another off in the distance. Cool horns huh?

Ostrich

This guy was pretty aggressive wanting food. Both the ostriches and zebras were not shy at all about getting what they wanted. One zebra nibbled on my shirt and another tasted our turn signal arm. We had a great day though and would go back in a heartbeat.

Hello There!

We went to Fossil Rim today in Glen Rose. This is one of my favorite shots of the day and I just had to post it immediately.

Coloring Brothers

What do you do when you're stuck at home for three days with two boys running fever? Lots of arts and crafts!

Homeboy

Jonathan's trying a little too hard to be hip and cool. He wouldn't let me pull his pants up all the way and walked around that way until his pants fell down around his ankles. Then he got mad about that.

Hat Buddies

Jonathan told you he liked to copy his brother in pretty much everything. Here's some proof. Thomas had his hat on. Once Jonathan noticed it, two minutes later, he did too. I like how Jonathan put his own hat on. Too cute!

And by the way, darn that glasses glare!!

When the Mice Are Away (i.e. asleep)...

The boys are in bed. It's almost 10 o'clock at night. The Cowboys are playing and the game looks AWESOME in HD on our big TV. But what are David and I doing? We're outside playing with Thomas' remote control car and having a blast. I used my tripod, obviously, and had a lot of fun experimenting with different shutter speeds while David drove the car around and around.
6 second exposure and probably my favorite pic of the night.
30 second exposure, not my favorite pic but I still liked how the lights of the car looked odd against the seemingly tranquil night scene.

I might share a couple more later this week. Maybe. I did take quite a few pictures of the boys over the last few days and want to share them too. It's amazing all the things you find to do when you're stuck home for three days straight with sick children. And as someone who typically doesn't like to stay home all day every day, you'll understand when I say, "Aaaahhh!"

Mr. Handsome

Jonathan saw me with my camera the other day and made these lovely faces for me. So pretty.

Drinking Buddies

Thomas was having a snack the other afternoon (chocolate covered raisins and a juice box) and I'm sure you know the rest...Jonathan had to be just like his big brother. So he got a juice box and his own snack (Gerber Graduates fruit snacks).

For my faithful few, I am still having a hard time adjusting to school starting. The days are crazy and I never have a single moment without at least one child with me. I'll try to get back into the daily posting soon.

Tunnel Fun, Part 1

Thomas playing in Jonathan's tunnel. It's been a lot of fun, but I'm glad I didn't pay much for it since half of the connectors broke on the first day. One of Jonathan coming tomorrow...

Big Chicken

Members of the Pics By Kim fan club (and by that I mean Lisa and Mom...and by that I mean possibly the only two members) have requested new pictures be posted to this blog. So here you go ladies. I would promise more tomorrow but who knows. The last two weeks have been crazy busy around here.

The above pics were taken at the Babe's Chicken in Sanger on our way to Oklahoma. Guess I need to get my camera out and take some more current ones don't I?

Oklahoma City Memorial

As you can see, we went to Oklahoma City this past weekend. We were there for a family reunion but while there, made time for a visit to the memorial for the Oklahoma City bombing. I didn't know I'd need my tripod. Next time. And it's beautiful at night but by the time it was dark, it was pouring down rain and I'm not THAT dedicated a photographer. Again, next time. If you've never been, each of the 168 people killed has a chair in his/her name. Those small chairs made me so sad. The big chairs were bad enough.
