Our original plan in Saratoga was to eat breakfast at the track and see the horses do their morning workout. It rained so much the day before, we decided the track would be too muddy so headed into town instead. It was a really pretty little town with neat places to shop and a pretty park for the kids.

Jonathan's First Day

Jonathan started Mother's Day Out today and was SO excited about going to his "school." He walked right in and sat down to work on Play Doh. The only thing he's not happy about is taking a nap there. He wanted to leave the nap mat at home but when I said everyone had to bring one, he decided it was ok.

First Grader

Today's the first day of school. Thomas is at a new school this year and was both nervous and excited. He did great when we dropped him off.

Although I'm posting this one the date it was taken, please keep checking because I fully intend to post the last month of pics this week. I've taken lots of great ones! Sea World, New York, Philadelphia, and more.

A League of Their Own

I don't know why, but I was suprised how the actual uniforms of the Rockford Peaches, and others, looked just like they did in the movie. Guess the movie people did their research.

Dodgers Fan

Every time we saw anything from the LA Dodgers, Thomas had to have his picture taken with it because his tee ball team was the Dodgers.

Baseball Hall of Fame

It was a fun place for our little baseball player to visit. Mike and Amy said the Basketball Hall of Fame is even more fun for kids. Maybe next time!

Even though it was raining, we had a fun day in Cooperstown. Can you tell this is a baseball town?

Why did we go into the river fully clothed when we had our swimsuits in the backpack? Who knows but it was fun...and cold.

While everyone was eating lunch, I had some fun playing with shutter speed to capture different effects at the waterfall. My favorite is the second, by far.

New York Boy

Finally, here are some New York pics. I probably have enough of them to last me all the way into September. I'll tell you up front, this is probably the clearest picture I took all day so enjoy it. :-) The others aren't terrible, but they're not crisp either. I had a really hard time with the dark forest and bright water in the same shot. This is at the beginning of the hike that day. We hiked back a mile or so into the woods and ate lunch by a waterfall. It was fun!

No, not with Burgers and Fries, although that is delicious. Instead the five boys posed themselves on the concrete barricade in front of the art museum.

Philly Boat Houses

Rowing is really popular in Philadelphia and if I remember the story correctly, these boat house have been around forever and are very hard to become members of.

Valley Forge

We visited a lot of Civil War battlefields when we lived in Washington, D.C. It was fun visiting a Revolutionary War site this trip. Angela and her family live about 10 minutes away. One thing I like about this shot is that all the boys are wearing Thomas' necklaces. He loaned one to everyone so they could all have some bling. :-)
