Yesterday was one busy day. First we had the Opening Day Parade for T-ball. Thomas is wearing blue right under the T-Ball sign. The Dodgers who braved the early morning chill. Then the opening day ceremony. Followed by his very first game. He's number three, the catcher in this inning. First hit. Yeah! Made it to first base. Proud after scoring his first run. Then onto his soccer game. Run Thomas! Kick that ball!
Go Bulldogs! And last but not least, Gallery Night. And his art.
I was taking a pic of Jonathan and Natalie hugging per Natalie's request and only later realized I also captured Thomas and Dayton hugging in the background.
We went to the Butterflies in the Garden exhibit today at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. I'd enjoy going next year without kids so I could focus more on the photography aspect. But it sure was fun for all.
A shot of the boys' "handsome socks" today. One boy wears a big boy size 1 and the other a baby size 6. Growing up fast! Oh yeah, and a little Elmo Easter basket for emphasis on the holiday.
Thomas and David bought a couple plants over the weekend. One of them is a tomato plant. Jonathan is the only one in the family who likes them but Grandpa in Lubbock grows them so Thomas thought he needed to as well. Many times a day Thomas checks on his plants. Seeing if they need water and just watching them and waiting for a tomato to start growing.
Jonathan got my keys out of the diaper bag this morning and tried to make a break for it. Thank goodness he's too short to reach the lock, or might have had more success. Then he turned around, saw me with the camera, and gave me the silly smile in the second shot. What a character!
Took this pic of Thomas at his first game on March 8th. Just now getting it out due to Grandpa's funeral and then a monster cold that is just now getting better.
Happy Fifth Birthday to Thomas and James! James is four hours older and at least 4 inches shorter. ;-) He's even wearing his skates in this pic. Thomas is also very tall for his age. Height doesn't matter though. They're great friends.
Check out the mess one boy can make in the space of about 20 minutes. Dirty pajama shirt, Flippin' Frogs game set up, frogs lined up across the floor, empty box from new soccer ball, Take Me Out to the Ballgame singing teddy bear, Star Wars figures, and more.
We went to go see James play hockey today. James is the middle green jersey and Thomas is the dark blurry blob watching him from the bottom left corner.
Here's a pic of Thomas and his birthday cake/candles at his party today. It was an awesome party. Hope to post more pics soon. Jungle theme arts and crafts, jungle themed cake WITH Tarzan since that's what Thomas is going to be when he grows up.
